Empowering a Family in Guatemala with Access to Technology

Grace, a compassionate individual, learned about the family in a small remote town of Guatemala (whom she has been supporting for years) was struggling to access digital information and support their children's education due to a lack of technology. Knowing the value of access to technology for education, she reached out to us to inquire about the possibility of donating refurbished laptops to the family. We recognized the importance of Grace's request and offered to donate a couple of laptops to the family.

Upon delivering the refurbished laptops to the family, Grace witnessed their gratitude and the immediate impact that the technology had on their lives. They were were able to access online resources that had previously been out of reach. Their children were able to use these laptops to learn various computer skills. The laptops provided the family with a new tool to improve their daily lives and stay informed about important news and events. Grace's actions demonstrated the importance of collaboration between individuals and organizations to improve digital equity, and the positive impact that can result from repurposing and refurbishing technology to support those in need.

The family continues to keep in touch and send thank-you letters to us every now and then. We are thrilled to be part of Grace's and this family's journey. We wish them the best of many years to come!
